Please share this email with friends and neighbors who are affected by the pipeline or would be interested in joining the call.
2) Join the new Facebook group called Stop the DTE Birdsboro Pipeline, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1019256998206368/. If you have friends on Facebook who would like to join Sunday’s call, the URL for the event page is https://www.facebook.com/events/189057974905161/.
3) The main topic for discussion on the call will be the upcoming scoping meeting, should FERC refuse to reschedule. FERC holds scoping meetings (really, hearings) to determine the scope of the environmental review of a pipeline project. It’s part of the Public Participation period currently scheduled to end on February 17th. It is critically important to get as many people to submit written comments on the docket or to attend the meeting. Ideally, people should do both. A full to overflowing meeting room makes an impression on the company, FERC, and the press. If you haven’t already submitted comments on the FERC site, you’ll want to register first at https://www.ferc.gov/docs-filing/eregistration.asp. Then you’ll want to go to e-comments to submit your comments. The docket number is PF17-1. FERC’s site is not at all intuitive, so I’ve attached instructions for how to navigate the site.
4) We’ll also discuss plans for an upcoming forum on the pipeline we’re scheduling for early/mid-February.
