Lehigh Valley DRBC Frack Ban Hearing\u00a0February 22<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Public calls for COMPLETE BAN on fracking and related activities<\/em><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Schnecksville, PA<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 People will be attending the Delaware River Basin Commission\u2019s (DRBC) last in-person public hearing on their draft natural gas regulations and proposed ban on fracking at the Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville, PA\u00a0this Thursday<\/span>\u00a0to express why it is imperative that DRBC adopt a complete ban on fracking and its associated activities throughout the Delaware River Watershed.<\/p>\n

\n

Businesses, community and regional groups will be calling for the protection of the Delaware River Basin and its water supplies and natural resources, which includes the Lehigh River, the second largest tributary to the Delaware River and a watershed that contains shale gas formations.\u00a0 A call will be made for a complete ban on fracking and the rejection of proposed regulations that would allow the dumping of wastewater from fracking or the export of water from the Delaware for fracking.<\/p>\n
