All day on 12\/20, we’ll be contacting state elected officials who represent areas affected by the Birdsboro Power Plant and DTE Pipeline to tell them we need their help to keep DEP from issuing permits on what should be a Superfund site, not a power plant site!<\/p>\n

Key Message:<\/strong> The site of the proposed Birdsboro power plant has “significant remaining contamination” from PCBs, asbestos, chlorine, and other unnamed toxins, according to Birdsboro Power, LLC. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection could issue the remaining permits for the power plant and the DTE pipeline that would be constructed on that site. We are calling on you to tell the DEP to withhold any permits and conduct a proper environmental review instead.<\/p>\n
