In the past few weeks, over 100,000 signatures calling for a moratorium on drilling were delivered to Corbett, a major poll found that, in fact, almost two-thirds of Pennsylvanians support a moratorium, and Senator Jim Ferlo announced that he’s introducing a moratorium bill and it already has five co-sponsors!<\/p>\n
Let’s keep it going! On June 5, 2013, we’re telling Pennsylvania State Senate loud and clear that we don’t want fracking. Our goal: to urge more senators to sign on as co-sponsors for the bill that would put a temporary stop to fracking in our state.<\/p>\n
Here’s how you can help! 2) This statewide call-in day is being done in conjunction with Stop the Frack Attack’s national month of action against fracking! A public call-in event is the perfect way for groups around the state to participate! Setting up in a public space with a factsheet, script, and cell phones is a great way to generate lots of calls! (Be sure to take photos of your event to post here. We’ll share them with the Stop the Frack Attack folks too!)<\/p>\n
