In the meantime, a coalition of organizations led by the Delaware Riverkeeper Network have been appealing to the Commission to exercise its authority over pipeline operations, something they have not done and voted not to do at its last meeting of 2012.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #f4f4f4;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nThe Susquehanna River currently not protected in any way from fracking. According to Earthworks, it was named American Rivers&#8217; 2011 Most Endangered River because of the risks posed by shale gas development. The Susquehanna River Basin Commission has permitted water extractions that have removed millions of gallons of water from the River and have never required a comprehensive study of the environmental impacts of gas drilling on the river.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #f4f4f4;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nBoth rivers need your help!
